(aka Pastor D) "Grace and peace" appear in the greeting of every New Testament letter written by the Apostle Paul. Those two words alone could summarize the impact Jesus Christ had on Paul's life, and on the lives of countless others. Grace is the undeserved, unmerited, unearned favor of God, the position of complete acceptance which we are placed in by faith alone in Christ alone. Peace is not the absence of chaos, but rather an inward wholeness and state of being that comes from knowing one's case of guilty sin has forever been settled before God through the sacrifice of His Son Jesus. What would motivate God to give his One and Only Son so that sinners could trade in their guilt and condemnation for grace and peace? Love. Radical love. God's love. John 3:16 is God's loving invitation to "grace and peace." We don't deserve it, we can't meritoriously gain it, nor can we earn it. That means there are no "hoops to jump through." We can only accept it or reject it...like any invitation. Nothing else continues to so radically change my life as understanding and experiencing the grace and peace of God through his Son, Jesus Christ. This is my passion, our passion, at Whosoever. |

While being in Christ is the Gift of God's grace, there is nothing automatic about growing in Christ. This calls for a life of surrender, obedience and faithful service. Growing in Christ invites us to a life of reflection, prayer, and service to those with whom He entrusts us. My passion and calling is one of turning my face towards God and outstretched hands to an injured world, a world that sees God not as the one who welcomes, embraces, and heals us, but as the one who demands and who restricts our freedom. For myself, a life in Christ is a life of joyful companionship and not as one of difficult obedience. I want to share with people that God comes to us not with a pointing finger that condemns, but with the embrace of love that melts the hardest heart and soothes the fearful soul. I want to be a healing rather than a fracturing presence in the world and a pencil in God's hand. |

I became a Christian on November 21, 2003. Before that day, there were many other days filled with pain, heartache, and trouble. I grew up in the house of an alcoholic father. I lived my life full of anger and hatred. Those feelings I felt were aimed at my father, my mother, and a God that everyone talked about, but I didn't believe was really out there. Since that point of giving my life to Christ, God has continued to grow and mature me in ways I never expected. During this entire time God has continued to reveal to me the plans He has for me to serve, along with numerous opportunities to boldly share my faith with others. He has given me a passion and desire to share the Word, to make disciples, and to serve Him by coming alongside others with both practical and spiritual support. |

John 3:16. Wow...have you ever read the Amplified Version of this scripture? "For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life." This scripture is so beautiful, so simple, yet so incredibly meaningful. Not only does this sum up what I believe, but it encompasses all that I feel the Lord has called me to profess. There is a world out there full of hurt people. Maybe you never heard the message of Christ, maybe you were told that you were not worthy of this message. Regardless, John 3:16 was directly intended for you. The message is simple, the results are eternal. You are worthy, and you...are welcome at the table. So pull up a seat next to me...I would love to share my life and love of Christ with you! |

Thanks to the Truth shared by my parents since the moment I was born, I've been blessed to be a Christian all my life. There was never a moment that I didn't feel God's love. This love has instilled in me great hope and a zest for life otherwise unattainable, making me an eternal optimist. The more I'm in God's Word, the more I find myself naturally joining God in his walk as He slowly unveils His exciting purpose for me. I understand that all aspects of my life make up the puzzle and work together to move me further to fulfill His goals. Though we will go through good times and bad times, all will work together to pave the road for God's purpose. "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28) |
