Sunday Worship: Sermon Series on Colossians
The question people ask about a religion or philosophy is not whether it is true, but if it works. They want to know if it will make a difference in their lives. People ask questions about Christianity:Can Christ really change lives? Can He give peace, joy and happiness? Does knowing Christ give meaning, stability, hope and purpose to life?
"Jesus is the way, the truth and the life" can be a very unpopular stand for Christians to take in our contemporary culture of science, philosophy, human wisdom and ecumenism. But dangerous false teachings against Jesus Christ are not new. The Colossian church dealt with these same threats.
When Paul learned about this danger, he wrote the church a letter of instructive warning and solid encouragement, confirming Christ as the answer. Colossians is full of dramatic and powerful passages coupled with rich instruction that defend Christ's deity and His sufficiency to reconcile men to God. Paul's message is a reminder that believers - then and now - are complete in Christ.
Sunday Worship is held at 10:45am at 807 Fletcher Street Dallas, TX 75223. The last Sunday of the month is "Sleep in Sunday" (no bible study or service).
